Hillary won my state of New Hampshire, and ALL 30 of our delegates cast their votes for Obama at convention. disgusting. so much for representational democracy in the Democratic Party.

I wrote our Gov., one of our delegates, just before the convention, encouraging him to vote for our state's choice, Hillary Clinton, and got a note back from his office that he would be voting for the "party's choice" (i.e. Obama). It was all decided beforehand. Democracy in action.

Delegates for Hillary, or interested Democrats can actively seek a spot on the 2009 Rules Committee. We'll need to encourage as many people as we can to get as much support on the Rules Committee to make a difference.

We'll have to support those individuals, as well as contact Attorney Generals in each state to see if state laws can be passed to legally require all parties running campaigns, to provide the same voter protections and accessibility seen in the General Election for their primaries

I say: what is each one of us going to do about it?

It's time to let go of what happened in 2008 and decide what we do next. I've moved on and changed my party affiliation on June 4 2008. I don't support Democrats unless they are in my district and represent my ideals. I will not give a dime or my time to the Democratic Party. That's how I resolved the problem.

Here's NYTimes (notice how they water it down - they avoid using the word "lobbyist")

WASHINGTON - President-elect Barack Obama's selection of former Senator Tom Daschle for secretary of health and human services posed new questions on Wednesday about how broadly the new administration would apply Mr. Obama's campaign promises to limit potential conflicts of interest among his appointees.
At issue is Mr. Daschle's work since leaving the Senate four years ago as a board member of the Mayo Clinic and a highly paid adviser to health care clients at the law and lobbying firm Alston & Bird.
In a detailed list of campaign promises, Mr. Obama pledged that "no political appointees in an Obama administration will be permitted to work on regulations or contracts directly and substantially related to their prior employer for two years."
Although Mr. Daschle's work might not preclude his appointment, it could raise the possibility that the administration could require him to recuse himself from any matter related to either the Mayo Clinic or some of the clients he advised at Alston & Bird - a potentially broad swath of the health secretary's portfolio....

Lou Dobbs Show brought it up, albeit briefly. they showed clip of BHO saying he would not be hiring any lobbyists in his administration; then gave facts of Dascle's lobbying background.

it would be good to add a clip from Michelle Obama's convention speech, the theme of which was "your word is your bond." According to Michelle, Barack would always live up to this (forget the fact that he had already broken it on public campaign financing)

anyway, MSM ought to remind obama "his word is his bond". no lobbyists means no lobbyists.
