ACTION: Hit the Phones Folks!

We're still working to reach out to those oh-so-important Superdelegates out there and this effort is focusing on Supers in the swing states that went for Hillary in their respective primaries...

Would you please consider giving the following super-delegates a call tomorrow?

Swing State Phone Pounce Tuesday July 29
Between the hours of 9am -5pm EST call the following U.S. Representatives.

These Representatives 'represent' Congressional Districts that Hillary Clinton won AND are in states that Clinton also won (win, win, right? wrong) in the presidential primary-- but they are endorsing Barack Obama. They also reside in swing states and are up for reelection (as all U.S. Representatives are).

One Suggested Phone Pounce Message:

I am calling to urge (Representative __) to endorse Hillary Clinton for President. Hillary won both your district and state. I encourage the representative to reconsider their endorsement, which is not written in stone until the convention, and to change it to reflect the wishes of their constituents. (Then say whey you support Hillary over Barack Obama i.e.)

* Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Shultz was formerly a strong Hillary supporter, though thank her for her past support.

List #1 Reps in Swing States in Clinton Districts and States - Obama Endorsers

Rep. Joe Donnelly (D-IN-2) (202) 225-3915
Rep. Baron Hill (D-IN-9) (202) 225-5315
Rep. Bart Stupak (D-MI-1) (202) 225-4735.
Patrick Murphy (D-PA-8) (202) 225-4276
Rep. Robert Wexler (D-FL-19) (202) 225-3001
*Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Shultz (D-FL-20) (202) 225-7931
Rep. Ron Klein (D-FL-22) (202) 225-3026
Carol Shea-Porter (D-NH-01) (202) 225-5456

Ok so those are your marching orders for Tuesday.  Let's swing a few Supers!

I'll help get the ball rolling.

Baron Hill is my rep (0.00 / 0)
So I'll definitely be calling him.

I'm a Stantonian Democrat.

make your reasons (0.00 / 0)
include our concerns about the way the party makes decisions, and our fears that Barack cut some deals and his rich friends bought him support.  Let them know that most important is an 'up or down' vote, for Hillary and that we as party members expect that the super's will vote for the one they think has the best chance of winning the GE, which is the entire reason we have supers, and the one most mainstream with dem voters, our own base.  Let them know that if there is not an up or down vote for her that there will be more disaffection than now exists, because we need to know who is representing their districts fairly and taking into account the real differences between the two, not race or sex, experience, proven ability to win necessary swing states, polling best against any pug. Let them know we know he won with indies and cross over pugs and caucus bully tactics, and misrepresenting Hillary as a racist, and we don't like it.  We intend to try to defeat in primaries anyone from a dem district that went for Hillary who supports Barack and has received any financial assistance from him.  Time to get tough.

Let Them Know WHY You Support Hillary (0.00 / 0)
Well said Anna.

Remember guys - these supers get a lot of emails and calls so if you can personlize thing by including some of your own story you have a better chance of being heard.

I also suggest you continue to call your state Democratic parties. (0.00 / 0)
Alegre, if I get off work soon enough, I'll try and call a few.  (Can't guarantee I'll get off work soon enough, but I will try.)

I definitely would suggest calling whatever state you happen to be residing in's Democratic Party -- in my case, it's WisDems (who isn't exactly listening to me, but has heard me speak with them several times lately).  Tell them that you continue to support Hillary Clinton and that you want your voice as a Hillary Clinton voter to be respected -- that disrespecting Hillary Clinton disrespects you.

That might, I repeat, might, shake 'em up enough to actually wake up and figure out that the election is about to go down the drain -- and a whole lot of their political futures along with it.

There's no excuse for this, DNC.  None.

Will this come up?
