Ludacris Releases Song Attacking Hillary Clinton

Ludacris, rapper and avid supporter of Barack Obama (Obama once claimed to have Ludacris in heavy rotation on his iPod) has released a new song called 'Politics: Obama Is Here' in which he attacks Hillary Clinton as an 'irrelevant bitch'.

Lyrics:
I'm back on it like I just signed my record deal
yeah the best is here, the Bentley Coup paint is dripping wet, it got sex appeal
never should have hated
you never should've doubted him
with a slot in the president's iPod Obama shattered 'em
Said I handled his biz and I'm one of his favorite rappers
Well give Luda a special pardon if I'm ever in the slammer
Better yet put him in office, make me your vice president
Hillary hated on you, so that b^$&%* is irrelevant
Jesse talking slick and apologizing for what?
if you said it then you meant it how you want it have a gut!
and all you other politicians trying to hate on my man,
watch us win a majority vote in every state on my man
you can't stop what's bout to happen, we bout to make history
the first black president is destined and it's meant to be
the threats ain't fazing us, the nooses or the jokes
so get off your ass, black people, it's time to get out and vote!
paint the White House black and I'm sure that's got 'em terrified
McCain don't belong in ANY chair unless he's paralyzed
Yeah I said it cause Bush is mentally handicapped
Ball up all of his speeches and I throw em like candy wrap
cause what you talking I hear nothing even relevant
and you the worst of all 43 presidents
get out and vote or the end will be near
the world is ready for change because Obama is here!
cause Obama is here
The world is ready for change because Obama is here!

Cute and nice to know this will be on His iPod

Isn't this lovely.  Thank goodness we live in a post-sexism world.  Holla back, third wavers.  This is your song.

lmao@"holla back, third wavers" (0.00 / 0)
Hilarious, and they do leave themselves open to much criticism (third wavers, that is).

But we are gonna have to unite in a fourth wave somehow. That may be what's happening right now with all of this. I personally straddle the 2nd and 3rd waves, with an inordinate amount of knowledge of the first wave (which lasted freakin' 70+ years...can we get THAT kind of unity, please?), so maybe that's why it's obvious to me.

Sorry for getting off-topic. The lyric is outrageous, and unnecessary except as a way to lay a psychic punch on PUMAs, if you ask me. In that way, it's impotence expressed, and that's probably how we should view it. Why give them any power over what we do at all? We own our votes, our actions, our emotions, etc.

it's been encouraged (0.00 / 0)
by the sexism tolerated by Barack.  This guy wrote it for Barack, thinking he'd be glad and maybe he is, who really knows?  The hate must stop, the name calling, unless this guy hates Barack and wants him to lose, in which case demonstrating the division Barack caused and the hate he's unleashed will work, for McCain.

Nah. He's been sexist from the get-go. He didn't need any encouragement. Good luck getting name-calling out of rap. It's part of the pedigree.

I don't want to be in control of anyone else's speech, and quite frankly, my outrage meter is a little worn out. I just can't get worked up over a stupid lyric from a b-list rapper. If the song were on the radio, maybe I could see boycotting the stations playing it, but otherwise, this falls under the 1st amendment for me.

why a person like this is drawn to Obama. They are both thugs. Obama's just a little bit better-dressed.

SPOON FED HATRED, just like I said.

Man alive, is this gonna make me vote for Obama!  It is exactly what this PUMA has been waiting for!  How COULD Ludacris have been so prescient!

There's a special sin/crime in our mixed race household: it's called "contributing to stereotypes"  This could possibly qualify.

PUMA

I don't even know how to address this (0.00 / 0)
Where is all this hate coming from?

So in the world of rap music and it's listeners Senator Clinton is a bitch because she dared run for president?

And John McCain who may not be my particular cup of tea but who served his country, who suffered for that service and who has physical problems from the torture he received doesn't belong in any chair unless he's paralyzed?

This kind of ugliness has no place in any civilized society. We allow it because we allow freedom. But that does not mean that we should not call it for what it is, hatred, racism, sexism and ugliness. That this music is pouring into the ears of young people is so sad. No good can come from this ugly hated. No good at all.

The world is indeed ready for change cause Obama is here. And this lyric shows that the change is not for the better.

even though it made me sick to my stomach.

I've copied these lyrics and will use them whenever anyone tells me that I don't "get" or don't "understand" rap. I may not be young and cool but I know "hate" when I hear and see it.

No amount of "cool" makes this all right. It should evoke nothing but disgust in any decent human being. Hate is never "cool". Hate is always what it is; unacceptable.

All Better - Obama camp condems the song (0.00 / 0)

Obama camp condemns song: Ludacris 'should be ashamed'

Barack Obama's campaign is condemning a song by the rapper Ludacris that praises Obama and bitterly attacks Senators Hillary Clinton and John McCain.

"As Barack Obama has said many, many times in the past, rap lyrics today too often perpetuate misogyny, materialism, and degrading images that he doesn't want his daughters or any children exposed to," said spokesman Bill Burton. "This song is not only outrageously offensive to Senator Clinton, Reverend Jackson, Senator McCain, and President Bush, it is offensive to all of us who are trying to raise our children with the values we hold dear. While Ludacris is a talented individual he should be ashamed of these lyrics."

"Hillary hated on you, so that bitch is irrelevant," say the lyrics. "McCain don't belong in ANY chair unless he's paralyzed Yeah I said it cause Bush is mentally handicapped."

The song also celebrates Obama's rise.

"The first black president is destined and it's meant to be," go the lyrics, calling on voters to "paint the White House black.

The song notes that Obama has praised Ludacris, and calls on him to "give Luda a special pardon if I'm ever in the slammer."

"The world is ready for change because Obama is here!" it concludes.

Well that's good.  I was worried they would come out and show us the song on bamabi's iPod.

gee, how unexpected. ok, everybody move over and make room for him.

and don't be looking for that pardon on this one, ludacris. if you thought obama would reciprocate your devotion, it would appear that we knew obama better than you thought you did. he has a long history of using and discarding people.

He's expecting a special pardon, Obama. Did you tell him he was one of your favorite rappers? You had the judgement to get chummy with him before:

U.S. Sen. Barack Obama, contemplating a run for president, met privately Wednesday with rapper Ludacris to talk about young people.

''We talked about empowering the youth,'' said the artist, whose real name is Chris Bridges.

Bridges was in town to launch the YouthAIDS ''Kick Me'' campaign to raise HIV/AIDS awareness during a stop at Northwestern University in the Chicago suburb of Evanston.

The gathering at Obama's downtown Chicago office was a meeting of two star powers: Obama, who enjoys rock star-like status on the political scene, and Ludacris, who has garnered acclaim for his music and acting.

And, Women over 40 are not supporting Obama...

Dick Morris at Real Clear Politics: Obama's Women Problem

Obama has a problem among women over 40 and a big problem among women over 50. These groups, normally the staunchest of Democratic supporters, are showing a propensity to back McCain and a disinclination to support Obama

According to the latest Fox News survey, Obama is winning among women under 40 by 13 points, but McCain is winning among women aged 41-45 by four points. Among women 50 and over, McCain is three points ahead. Obama's 48-35 lead among women under 40 is normal for a Democrat, but to trail among women in their 40s by 45-41 and by women over 50 by 38-35 is extraordinary.

For a Democrat to be losing among women over 40 is without precedent in the past 20 years.

In fact, the gap between male and female voting preference in this election is far lower than it normally is. Among people under 40, men back Obama by eight points and women support him by 13. Among those in their 40s, men back McCain by 11 points and women support him by four. And for those over 50, men vote for the Republican by a nine-point margin while women prefer him by three points.

Usually, the gender gap runs at least 10 points in each age group and, more usually, averages a 15-point differential. The lower gap in this race does not indicate any special popularity for McCain or negatives on Obama among men. Men are voting the way they usually do. It's women who are making the big difference and keeping this race tied.

Democrats are scared:

The Nation Magazine: An Open Letter to Barack Obama

You stand today at the head of a movement that believes deeply in the change you have claimed as the mantle of your campaign. The millions who attend your rallies, donate to your campaign and visit your website are a powerful testament to this new movement's energy and passion.

Since your historic victory in the primary, there have been troubling signs that you are moving away from the core commitments shared by many who have supported your campaign, toward a more cautious and centrist stance--including, most notably, your vote for the FISA legislation granting telecom companies immunity from prosecution for illegal wiretapping, which angered and dismayed so many of your supporters.

We recognize that compromise is necessary in any democracy. We understand that the pressures brought to bear on those seeking the highest office are intense. But retreating from the stands that have been the signature of your campaign will weaken the movement whose vigorous backing you need in order to win and then deliver the change you have promised.

This opinion is going to get me in trouble, but (0.00 / 0)
I think the black culture is particularly sexist.  It is built into the culture, maybe because black men are so supposedly downtroden by this society, they take out their anger and resentment on black women or women in general just to have someone under them.  That is nearly how a black woman friend of mine explained it to me once.  They have to feel powerful over someone, so the only ones left are women.  She went along with it at the time, but I am sorry I won't give them a break.  I won't take it, and I think that people are going to resent this attitude filtering into the whitehouse if Obama is elected.

There was the African American comic at his fundraiser calling women in his own family hoes, and now this.  This kind of trashy values are unwelcome to me.  Not that sexism isn't rampant in the culture at large and plenty of men are in on it, in fact it was institutionalized by the white culture but it doesn't seem like Obama's friends have any clue at all that it isn't acceptable, nor are they concerned with fighting it.

Cosby has said this (0.00 / 0)
There are misogyny billboards "Your kids can hear you when you talk to the women in your life like that. Watch what you say, they're listening" in certain neighborhoods in San Francisco.

You can find some explanations in the legacies of slavery, and in Jim Crow days men being called "boy" trying to assert their manhood. But those are not excuses.

[ Parent ]
Spreading phenomenon (0.00 / 0)
There is a fair amount of evidence that this phenomenon is rooted in the great depression.  The economic downturn hit black families particularly hard. The impact was so extreme that many black women responded by having no children at all.  There's a whole missing cohort of black babies from the 1930s.  Many black women also reacted to the low economic value of men and their high consumption by forcing them out of the house.

We still live with the legacy of that period, both in terms of the structure of poor black families and in terms of the treatment of AA women.  AA culture is often referred to as matriarchal.  But I don't believe it.  AA women may be overwhelmingly responsible for child care and providing their children with material goods.  But that does not mean they have a lot of power in their relationships with men.

A similar phenomenon is spreading among low middle class women generally.  Female head of household is on the rise as are children born out of wedlock.  I've been wondering lately whether the roots of the current evolving household structure in poor white households isn't similar to the forces that hit black  households in the 1930s.

The dramatic widening in the distribution of income and decline in real wages of men with only 12 years of education must be making white males without a college education pretty uninteresting housemates.

And he said Ludacris, "though", both-ways Barack said, "it would be nice" if some day he didn't have to worry about his daughters hearing the misogynistic lyrics. But Obama was enjoying those misogynistic lyrics on his iPod! What a f&$%^!! tool.

Ludacris Meets Obama (0.00 / 0)
In December 2006 I coordinated an event with Ludacris as a speaker for an AIDS organization that was sponsoring an informational tour at several universities.  When the tour arrived at our school, I invited several academic classes that studied the AIDS epidemic to come hear him speak on the subject.  Our students asked Ludacris some hard questions concerning his qualifications as a spokesperson for AIDS.   The inquiry made him very uncomfortable.  After the talk, he had a brief press conference and left early without meeting the students.  Apparently Ludacris had scheduled a last minute appointment with Obama at his office in Chicago before his flight left for NY.  The national and worldwide press picked up the AP story of the Obama/Ludacris meeting with photo of the two together smiling and walking down Obama's office hallway.  It ran in the some media as a feature for World AIDS Day.  It would be interesting if he would be allowed to speak at schools again.

Thanks for the tidbit (0.00 / 0)
I'd love to see a video of the student meeting which I'm sure is on some O'bots phone.

Kindof a trivial point (0.00 / 0)
And I know it's way too much to expect any proper facts in such a clearly remarkable expression of art, but even if bush is the worst president (Pierce?  Buchanan?), there have only been 42, not 43.  (Grover Cleveland being both number 22 and 24.)

You know, ultimately insignificant in the face of the bile, vitriol, misogyny, and pure bullshit of the rest of the piece.  But one wonders, when his Haughtiness listened to this, would he have caught what should be a fairly simple 5th grade civics and history question?  Or maybe thought Luda was forgetting about the 7 other presidents, from the 7 extra special states?

Maybe in place of one of the debates, we should just have a history and geography bee.  Hell, one of those might of helped us out back in 2000.

From an African American Black Colored Negro who posts regularly on Clintons4Mccain, whose site name is "writtingit"

"It is interesting, mind awakening, and becoming a bit disheartening being an Independent Black Voter who marches to the tune of the Stars and Stripes; who has always pledged alligence and shown respect for our country and our flag; and who will never under any circumstances cast a vote in November for Barack Obama.

I am not disheartened about my vote, but I am extremely disheartened as well as disappointed to see the Black Community turn a blind eye, and a deaf ear to Barack Obama, the person, and the Obama Campaign, who I personally feel has intentionally devised a campaign startegy to covertly keep us distracted from the real issues that we need to face as a nation, by using antics such as the Ludacris record, to divide this country along racial and hatred lines.

Last night, while discussing my disgust with Ludacris' new song with one of my friends who is a die-hard Obama supporter, and who also happens to be a professional person [on paper], I was called the "N" word, told that I was a "Black Hater", and told that she was very happy that Ludacris had called Hillary the "B" word, etc.

And after our conversation, I had to actually take a step backwards to look and reflect at myself in the mirror, and it was a very, very, long look.

You see, as I have stated in other Posts, I have been Black for all of my 58 years. I was born in Birmingham, Alabama, before integration. My birth cerificate says that I am "Colored". When I started elementary school I became a "Negro". In the 60's I became Black, and now, in recent years I have become an African American.

So I regularly refer to myself as an African American Black Colored Negro. And I can truthfully say that while growing up, I was never personally called the "N" word by any white person, and the "N" word was not spoken in our home.

However, what was spoken and stressed, was education, tolerance, religion,Patriotism, and hard work. All of things that evry ordinary American strives for.

My father fought in the Battle of the Bulge and my mother often told stories of the "boys" who dropped out of high school so that they could go and fight Hitler. "Boys" who "volunteered" without having to be drafted.

I had two uncles who were career soldiers, and I have one brother-in-law who is a retired Lieutenant Commander in the Navy, and another brother-in-law who is a Retired Army Veteran, just to give anyone reading this Post a little of my background. And my elementary school librarian was the grandmother to one of the girls killed in the 16th Street Baptist Church bombing. I have several degrees on my wall, and I don't quite consider myself as an uneducated and un-informed
person.

So as I reflected at myself in the mirror, with my friend's serious cursing and ranting about how I "wanted" to keep "Black" people down by not supporting Barack Obama, and how I have "never" supported the Obama movement fresh in my mind, I liked what I saw and I have no hesitation in my committment to helping the Best candidate get lecetd this fall, because I know that America is at a crossroad. I also know that Barack Obama is nothing more than an arrogant, self-centered, cocky, manipulative, weak and dangerous man who would throw this country and anyone else in his under the bus to achieve his political ambitions.

However, and honestly, I was also saddened because I have had to come to the realization that my fellow Black Community cannot see the big forest for the Obama tree sitting out in front.

My friend lives in Florida, and I live in the Houston area, and when she excitedly told me that she had heard that "Obama" Tee-Shirts were selling like wildfire here in Houston area, en I told her that I was going to get one designed with Obama having a very huge head, so big that it was leaning to the side of his little body, and she then flew into another rage.

Everyday I am experiencing an uphill battle in my determination to do everything that I can to help Senator McCain win this election, and I cannot count the number of times that I have been told that I should just stay home in November and not cast a vote because it doesn't matter that Obama doesn't have the experience to be President and Commander in Chief; that it doesn't matter that his dealings with Rezko, Rev. Wright, Rev. Pfleger, and the Ayers underground are questionable; that it doesn't matter that Obama's Chief Economic Advisor, Austan Goolsby wrote a paper in 2007 defending Sub-Prime Loans; and that it doesn't matter that Obama is trying to weaken us as the World's Leader.

In other words, the only thing that matters, as I have been told from my fellow black [professional and non-professional] friends, and associates, EXCEPT my two Military Retired Brother-In-Laws,is that Barack Obama is Black and this is the Only qualification that he should need for my vote.

But as I gazed into the mirror, I , knew and continue to know that all of these things matter to me, and therefore I am reaffirmed in my position that National Security matters to me; that Nuclear Proliferation matters to me; that the bombing of the Twin Towers and the Pentagon matters to me; that becoming Independent of foeign Oil matters to me; and even more importantly, America matters to me.

So, Ludacris actually did me a favor with his hateful, incendiary lyrics, that I know in my heart [as an African American Black Colored Negro], reflects the thinking of Barack Obama. And I also know that the "greeting" of the fists slightly tapping the knuckles is a Black Power thing.

But even more importantly, Ludacris' action is just another example of Obama "Revealing", rather than "Re-Inventing" himself to America. And this is why his wife has temporaily faded into the background.

I am an American who has been given identifying labels from the crayola box of colors, but as an American, who actually feels colorless, I would never, under any circumstances vote for a Presidential Candidate who at any time failed to salute our flag, or, as in the case of Obama, only salutes the flag out of necessity.

So I am going to keep paddling my little Clintons4McCain row-boat, because America means more to me than color, and the only color that I want is the one in the background on some Ben Franklin and Ulysses S. Grant bills."
