Roll Call Lies are Spreading - Push Back!

by: Alegre

UPDATE:

See the next post for Hillary directly refuting the NY Daily News lie.

"Delegates can decide to do this on their own. They don't need permission. They can decide under the rules of DNC." (2:58)

(pacific john)

***

HuffPo posted this pack of lies with a simple link to that POS article.  So we can't leave comments.  This article was unsourced but for the single reference to a comment by Hillary's spokeswoman stating that nothing's been decided yet.  And yet others are starting to buy in to this load of bull by repeating it as fact.

This whole thing has AxelRove's stink all over it you guys.  Speculation of course, but first a paper with an iffy reputation prints a pack of BS without any sourcing and now HuffPo is picking it up - linking to it so no one can challenge it in comments.  I'm guessing the Blogger Boyz won't be far behind in declaring her out of the convention altogether - no speech or anything - and will lead the charge in demanding that she release her delegates. This seems like another coordinated attack on our rights and those cowards cannot be allowed to get away it.

And one more thing to chew on here - AxelRove had to admit that BHO's comment re pictures on money was about race.

...Obama's chief strategist, David Axelrod, acknowledged on "Good Morning America" Friday that the candidate was referring, at least in part, to his ethnic background.

When pressed to explain the comment, Axelrod told "GMA" it meant, "He's not from central casting when it comes to candidates for president of the United States. He's new to Washington. Yes, he's African-American."

They got caught with their pants down on playing the race card.  Now suddenly we see this garbage and it's up on HuffPo?  I'm convinced they're pushing this story just like they pushed bloggers to play the race card over McCain's ad.  Mark my words AxelRove's behind this and it's only a matter of hours before the Blogger Boyz start pushing this story as fact and demanding that Hillary release her delegates.

Maybe we can call the paper and ask that they run a retraction of that article or at least take it down from their online version.  They won't of course but we could still ask. ;o)

Are they bargaining out in the open? (0.00 / 0)
Is it really definite that Hillary gets Tuesday night or is that still just conjecture?  If not, the the Obama campaign may be telling Clinton what the price of Tuesday will be; namely she can't put her name in nomination.

She's the Keynote Speaker (0.00 / 0)
That's been widely reported for the past 2 days.

note that real news sites aren't picking up the daily news tabloid stuff... (0.00 / 0)
...but the blogger boyz are the ones spreading it, just like atrios and josh marshall did the obama campaign's bidding wednesday with that "mccain is saying obama's after the white women" meme. and now axelrove and obama himself are having to walk all that stuff back.

i'd put this piece in the same category - it's the obama campaign trying to create reality out of thin air. well gee, i wonder which politicaal operation they learned THAT from?

Barack Obama's election proves that any male can grow up to be president, provided he's willing to use misogyny as a campaign strategy.

Oh yes, the Obama bloggerz are such a great source (0.00 / 0)
of objective reality.

Remember how Hillary "darkened" Obama's skin? And how her saying Obama was not Muslim four times was not enough for them?

I don't know why anyone bothers to read them anymore. I guess the ObamaNation has a high tolerance for BS.

Wasn't kos caught in a payola scandal, working for Dean? (0.00 / 0)
I think Chris Nolan broke that story. I am so positive he was working for Obama this time. He was just too determined to beat Hillary, given what kind things he'd said about Hillary before the primary started.

This is so apropros at this point... (0.00 / 0)
Funding In-Depth, Investigative Reporting as a "Charitable Matter"??

How about posting a question about (0.00 / 0)
the roll call on Obama's "truth about rumors" page? That should get us an interesting answer. And we can quote The One himself, well, his campaign, when refuting the lies about the roll call vote. Make him put up or shut up.

This campaign tactic has Rove all over it to (0.00 / 0)
"Say something (a lie) long enough and people will believe it. No different than Alquaeda and Iraq and WMD to support the occupation in Iraq.

They did it before the Primary was even over, declaring Obama the winner over and over again. Obama has pretty much said He is the POTUS, along with a lot of Media help.

There also was diary at dkos talking about the Edwards mess, and the die hard Edwards fan won't believe anything about it because the MSM hasn't reported on it.

The Bots are in denial about any truth or proof that Obama is a fraud and sham. So for Axelrod/Rove to put this out must be to keep the little ones safe in their Obama support.
My guess is O's campaign is seeing the poll numbers for O is shrinking.

Slightly OT (0.00 / 0)
but too good to miss, I found the following on an ABC News story about the "Messiah" ad McCain's campaign put out yesterday:

Posted by: mark | Aug 2, 2008 7:03:06 AM

John McCain is a graduate of the War College. Basic tactics instruct that one does not let the enemy choose the ground where the battle if fought. Lacking any experience or other qualification, Obama can only hope to win this campaign if the mythology that defeated Hillary survives to the general election. Ads such as these that brilliantly puncture the Obama myth and then, better, go on to mock it, are fatal to the Obama campaign and no one knows that better than Obama.

Here's what Greg Sargent over at TPM is saying (0.00 / 0)

I find this quite weird.

Ugh - like they're trying to hold her head (0.00 / 0)
under water. The comments are so toxic you'd think they're covert Repugs. These online supporters really think they can insult their way to winning an election?

Hillary will have to clarify (0.00 / 0)
Until then, everything is just rumor and speculation.

Though I am a litte concerned that she hasn't made a statement yet....

I HIT the HUFFPO (0.00 / 0)
contact them,

I told them for BO supporters who are the FIRST to call someone a LIAR, YOUR paper is the BIGGEST LIE there is regarding ANTHING about SENATOR CLINTON.  SHe will be placed in nomination, it's not YOUR CALL.

And you guys think it's just "racist", "LIAR" is big with these people.

Take a minute and go to their site, hit Contact US, and let them know the truth.----You might startle them, they're not used to it.

If Promulgating This Crap (0.00 / 0)
is their attempt to bury Obama's latest display of racism, what do you suppose they'll come up with to cover up his flip-flop on offshore drilling?

The spin-meisters in the Obama campaign must be getting sick of mopping up after The One.
