Alegre's Corner
We're not finished folks - not by a long shot!

As you know by now, there's a group of Hillary's delegates who are working hard to pull together the 300 signatures needed to get Hillary's name on the roll call ballot in Denver.

They've asked me to remind everyone here about their effort, and to post the above email so folks can contact them.

So if you're a delegate to our convention and you believe that a real election should include more than one name on the ballot (this is America - not Zimbabwe after all!) then please use the above email to contact the delegates behind this noble effort.  They'll send you a petition to sign and you'll be a part of an historic event folks.   Sign on now for unity's sake!

And if you know someone who's a delegate, please send them this email and ask (beg, plead, cajole) them to do the DEMOCRATIC thing and sign the petition.

they're actually having trouble getting these signatures.

This is pathetic.

A Ballot w/ More Than 1 Name (0.00 / 0)
You'd think that would be a no-brainer here in America.

Not so in Obama-land.

Not sure they're having trouble really - I just think they're trying not to leave things until the last minute.  Ya know? :-)

Also check HRC's official website (0.00 / 0)
HRC has a recent post on the official website about delegates:

I have heard from many of you by email or phone over the last few weeks, and I look forward to meeting you in person on the floor in Denver.  Please feel free to call the Delegate Hotline at (703) 469-2008 ext. 1075 or email us at delegate@hillaryclinton.com with any questions or concerns.

;-)

Barack Obama's election proves that any male can grow up to be president, provided he's willing to use misogyny as a campaign strategy.

Awesome! (0.00 / 0)
I've heard rumors about that hotline but this is the first I've seen anything concrete about it online.

YAY!

Mission Accomplished... (0.00 / 0)
Obamazoids are not only delinking me but demanding that I delink their mostly useless blog that rarely offers anything fresh.  All Obamazoid talking points.

Any way, one Hillary delegate red these so-called progressives the riot act. And in the meantime, I forwarded your e-mail to her.

She is not a happy camper about taking away her vote at the convention.

By the way, can anyone tell me how to change my password?
Thanks~.~

To change password here...

1 - (You must have your current password ready to use below in step 5.)
2 - Upper right column of any Alegre's Corner site page, second blue box, click on "Notimeforlies Page."
3 -  At new (mostly blank) page click on Profile tab
4 - At new page with a bunch of blank fields to fill in (ignore them) and just below that same Profile tab in the grey horiz bar, on right, click on "email & password"
5 - You have arrived! Carefully fill in all the stuff.
6 - Be sure you'll not forget or misplace your new password.
7 - Back outta there with "confirms" and O.K.s or whatever, and you should be good to go... :)

and include (0.00 / 0)
Barrack's delegates, all of them should sign, and show unity. If it turns out to just be Hillary's, that will lend credence to the perception that they fear her and that's not a unity message.

They can't claim to want unity while standing in the way of the one thing that will bring unity to our broken party.

They broke our party - now they need to fix it by holding an honest vote without scripts or pre-conditions.

Signing this petition will prove once and for all that they mean what they're telling us when they call for unity.

I agree, Alegre. (0.00 / 0)
I agree one hundred percent.  This is ridiculous, this is asinine -- this is still America, right?  So why is it the neo-libs now controlling the DNC want only a one-name ballot?

At any rate, does anyone know how to contact Marilyn Nemeth, the new delegate that took over after Debra Bartoshevich was ousted by WisDems in Wisconsin?  Because I have a few choice words for her -- polite ones, but choice ones nonetheless; as a Racine County Hillary Clinton voter, I demand that Nemeth vote for Hillary Clinton on the first ballot -- and that she sign this petition, pronto!  After the first ballot, she can vote her "Clintonista for Obama" heart out for Obama all she wants -- but on that first ballot, she'd best represent my interests, d**n it!

There's no excuse for this, DNC.  None.

Remember, friend, you are aiming to sway the mind of a 76 years of age woman who has apparently been involved in politics for some time.

(Actually the 76 came from a different webpage I've lost track of... you could google that phrase I copied and pasted to see the source.)

There's also the danger that 0-bots write her and, lying and scheming as they always do, play tricks. I would think they might already have been doing that with a carefully-composed list of delegates and super delegates. ("Database" is their middle name.) Yours unlikely to be the only message or letter she receives, or has received.

If it were me writing, I'd probably go for a letter (vs. an email) and have worked very hard on it. If I lived in her area, I consider paying her a respectful visit.

Good luck.
