Tell Howie to STOP LYING! 202-863-8080

by: Alegre

I've said it before and I'll keep right on saying it... Howard Dean's flat-out lying when he claims to be impartial or that he wants a fair convention.  He's been telling us for months that Hillary will be on the ballot for the roll call and all the while BHO's running around telling us that's "still being negotiated."  Who TF does Howie think he's kidding?

File this one under "Howard Dean Sux Rocks" folks.  Anyone who looks at the DNC's published info on nominating procedures knows that Dean is talking out of his backside on this one.  From Ricki Lieberman's latest Electability Watch blast-out...

Sue Castner, Clinton delegate, Oregon writes:  "The chairman's office at the DNC today is telling people our nominating petition is a PUMA petition and that HRC only needs one delegate to put her name in nomination.  Amazingly, Governor Dean's office has not returned my phone calls attempting to correct the woefully inadequate misinformation they are disseminating.  Can you imagine?

As long as they can paint us in a negative light as a bunch of disgruntled, angry, delusional malcontents, they can dismiss us en masse.  There is also a great deal of confusion about PUMA PAC, PUMA and dozens of other petitions circulating.  Howard Dean and the DNC is capitalizing on this confusion, exploiting it, and hoping it carries them through the Convention.

It's "Pay no attention to the man behind curtain" time, ladies and gents.  ALL we are asking - IN THE INTEREST OF PARTY UNITY - is that we be "allowed" to go to Denver and vote for the candidate to whom we have been pledged.  The Machivellian machinations of the current leadership of the Democratic Party, enabled by the presumptive candidate, absolutely breaks my heart.  I have NEVER seen such a group of bullies wield so much power in the purported interest of unity.

Please call Howard Dean's office and tell them to STOP giving out misinformation!  202-863-8080.  (202) 863 8125

Call Howie and tell him to stop lying about our efforts.  We're not a disorganized bunch of whiners.  We're DEMOCRATS and we demand representation for Hillary's 18 million supporters at our convention. It's as simple as that folks.  Doesn't matter who's behind this effort or why we're doing it.  This is America - a nation steeped in the tradition of fair elections and honest representation of the people and when there's a vote taken, we put more than one name on the freakin' ballot.

It's official (0.00 / 0)
they want to lose the GE. That is amazing, smear us some more why don't you?  We weren't ' all going to sit it out, some of us really want unity moves, we want to be respected and we want our voices heart, and our votes registered. How hard can that be?

Hillary - alternative energy

Incredibly hard (0.00 / 0)
Since it's obvious you (and I) will continue to hold them accountable. That's what they're "sloughing off." Accountability.

Anyway, Howie ain't listening, because he doesn't care. He surrounds himself with some very scary people, and I think  that's evidence of what his own true values are. Hint: They aren't Democratic.

I'm a Stantonian Democrat.

a PUMA petition???? (0.00 / 0)
the petition is organized by delegates, and is being signed by delegates. these delegates are legally elected or appointed representatives of the democratic voters in the party's primaries. how is it a PUMA petition? is howie going to start stripping delegates of their voting and petitioning rights by trying to smear them as PUMAs? this is looking more and more like a witch hunt.

Barack Obama's election proves that any male can grow up to be president, provided he's willing to use misogyny as a campaign strategy.

Well Said Camp (0.00 / 0)
This is about duly elected and credentialed delegates petitioning their party for an equal voice at oyr convention.  They represent millions of Democrats and for Dean to dismiss them with these lies is beyond insulting.

I never thought (0.00 / 0)
I would see the day when I would find the DNC as corrupt and disgusting as the RNC. Thanks Howie, you've made that unthinkable day a reality!

If Howard Dean was Pinocchio his nose would reach from sea to shining sea.

I heard a caller on cspan say that the Dems (0.00 / 0)
purposely want to lose the GE because they don't want to clean up Bush's mess and that McCain being a moderate republican and gets along well with Hillary and Obama would actually all work together to make things right.

Wouldn't that be something if that was true.
Regardless, this whole primary has been such a bizarre process/event, it really makes me wonder what is really going on. And with no place to get the real 100% truth about anything anymore, we're all left to figure it out. It's been like trying to do a big jig saw puzzle with lots of missing pieces.

She should be in nomination just vecause she ran (0.00 / 0)
Just like Howie was in 2004 after his winning Vermont.
But now they keep lying and obfuscating because they are backed into a corner.
meanwhile, we make news in Denver:

Jeralyn at TalkLeft (0.00 / 0)
is saying that in order to have her name on the ballot, Hillary needs to make a written request and she hasn't done so.

Is this correct?

It's simple: (0.00 / 0)
Hillary has the option of signing the nomination petition.

This is simply about allowing delegates the option of voting as they were elected, and allowing Hillary the option of having her name in nomination to formally recognize her 18,000,000 voters.

Hillary is on record saying she wants an open process, with formal recognition of her voters.

As delegate Daniel Kagan says, anything else is smacks of Soviet thinking.

Jerilyn Doesn't Know What She's Talking About (0.00 / 0)
With all due respect, it sounds like Jerilyn is talking as if the decisions been made to not seek a real vote simply because Hillary hasn't presented that letter yet.  But there's still weeks before the deadline and Hillary hasn't gotten the signed delegate petition yet.

I'm guessing we won't know what Hillarys wishes are on this until she gets the petition.  Probaly won't happen until Denver so let's all chill, keep our heads down and keep working toward our goal.

About every 7 years (0.00 / 0)
... Jeralyn loses her focus. The last time was when she backed Arnold Schwarzenegger, a few weeks before he literally proposed to withhold state services from mentally retarded newborns.

As for putting Hillary's name on the ballot, here's why it won't happen.

[The candidate] must submit a request in writing to be nominated at the convention. According to published reports, Clinton has decided against doing so and has been urging her delegates to vote for Obama.

Bzzzt. That is sooo last Friday's Daily News. Notice how she propagates an unsourced version of an unsourced rumor?

tha't a shame. (0.00 / 0)
Jeralyn used to be better than that. we are losing a lot of good bloggers because of the obama campaign gutter tactics, and the necessity of embracing them once you drink the kool-aid.

remember, folks - you are only as ethical as the candidate you support.

Barack Obama's election proves that any male can grow up to be president, provided he's willing to use misogyny as a campaign strategy.

Lying (0.00 / 0)

Maybe the Dem Party is copying the lying Bushie strategy, because they believe it has worked for the Republicans, IOW it's a winning strategy. But what they have failed to observe is the American electorate has finally seen through the Republican Lie Machine.  The electorate is fed up with lies, and wants the lie cycle broken.  The present winning strategy is telling the truth.  If the Dems think they can win this one by lying, they have screwed it up big time. All the pants on fire will burn their own house down.

All we (0.00 / 0)
want is a vote! Is that too much to ask here in the United States of America? A real vote, with a CHOICE of candidates!

And to make matters worse, the congress critters now known as the gang of ten are also saying- "all we want is a vote." Pelosi says "NO!" and shuts down the Congress to prevent a vote.  Sad, sad and scary- the powers that be in the (formerly known as) Democratic Party are shutting down votes left and right. What the hell is going on in this country? I am no proponent of drilling in the ANWAR but to outright refuse to allow a vote is, is, is- Un- American?

This is getting more and more frightening- Dean and Pelosi have taken too much power unto themselves. What the htell are they afraid of? that the will of the people might actually be made known?

re: too much power (0.00 / 0)

hence the title of Pelosi's new book:  "Know Your Power".  Indeed.

Call the DNC (0.00 / 0)
I just called the DNC a few minutes ago and the person answering the phone said that only one delegate needs to put HRC name into nomination. I don't believe them, but this person from the DNC insisted that was the case.

Half the people over there (0.00 / 0)
don't understand their own rules!
