Remember when using the phrases "you people" and "those people" meant a horde of Obamazoid banshees would try to take your head off for being "racist"? Well, those days are over, praise The One™. Dear Leader himself used the term to refer to all those not within the sacred folds of The Movement™. From The Page...
Obama gaggled with reporters on his plane between Minneapolis and Chicago. He made brief opening remarks underscoring his energy message of the week before taking questions.
Obama was pressed repeatedly to say whether or not he'd grant Clinton a speaking role at the convention. All he'd say is they're staffs are talking. "I spoke to Senator Clinton this week, she's campaigning for me in Nevada and Florida and she's very enthusiastic about the need for a unified party and I think we're going to have a terrific convention, as is true with all conventions we're still working out the mechanics of the four days and our staff is in communications with Senator Clinton's staff but I don't anticipate any problems," he said.
"There hasn't been controversy other than what you guys are projecting right now," Obama added. When asked about reports of angry Hillary supporters, Obama said: "We're not talking to those people and we're talking to directly to the Clinton campaign people and it has gone seamlessly."
It's refreshing to know we're now "those people", and that we're no longer worth talking to. If Obama is stupid enough to believe that talking to Hillary will solve his PUMA problem, this is going to be an much uglier election for him than he ever imagined.
The Chinese solved their barbarian problem by building a wall. Maybe Obama needs to do the same. The big tent has been folded, and only true believers are still welcome.
Remember the confident young fellow who bragged, "I'm pretty sure I can get her supporters, but I'm not sure she can get mine"? Well, now he says that he doesn't need them. |

Apparently, catharsis is a little too emotional or feminine for Obama - or maybe just too powerful and unpredictable. He doesn't like it. ghost2 found this tidbit:
"I'm letting our respective teams work out the details," Mr. Obama said. "I don't think we're looking for catharsis. I think what we are looking for is energy and excitement about the prospects of changing this country, and I think that people who supported a whole range of different candidates during the primaries are going to come out of that convention feeling absolutely determined that we have to take the White House back."
Well, Barack, having catharsis is like having babies. When it's time, you just have one. Sorry this is beyond your control, but people will be coming to the convention with all the emotional baggage the campaign - your campaign - gave them. "Sweetie", "You're likeable enough". "Hillary didn't cry for Katrina victims." Stuff like that. You reap what you sow. |

"Always aim high, work hard, and care deeply about what you believe in. When you stumble, keep faith. When you?re knocked down, get right back up. And NEVER listen to anyone who says you can't or shouldn't go on."
