The DNC Chose the Messiah Over the Fighter and the Voters Will Get Neither in November

Conservative Victor Davis Hanson stated what SusanUnPC of NoQuarter described as the obvious in his opinion piece in the National Review:

In a tough year like this, Democrats could probably have defeated Republican John McCain with a flawed, but seasoned candidate like Hillary Clinton. But long-suffering liberals convinced their party to go with a messiah rather than a dependable nominee - and thereby they probably will get neither.

First of all, let's get the facts straight. The majority of Democrats did not choose to go with the messiah turned snake oil salesman over the most qualified woman candidate in our nation's history. No. Obama was chosen by the Mainstream Media, Howard Dean, Nancy Pelosi, and Donna Brazile. He won undemocratic caucuses, squashed Sen. Clinton's support and momentum in Florida, and stole delegates in Michigan. He also won over Republicans and Independents (who have since abandoned ship after learning about Rev. Wright and Bill Ayers) by smearing Bill Clinton and praising Ronald Reagan. The base of the Democratic Party knew better and thereby gave Sen. Clinton the most popular votes in American history. The voters were unable to convince anyone because if they had, Hillary Clinton would be the nominee.

Second, the Democratic Party still has a choice to pick the most dependable and qualified candidate who can beat John McCain. Sadly, I doubt that they will make the right choice for the country and their constituency. Dean and Pelosi wants to keep the status quo and Donna Brazile wants an African American in the White House. Hillary Clinton and her surrogates have been silenced and threatened into giving Obama their full support without any dissent or disagreement at the convention lest they want their political careers destroyed.

I do agree with the rest of Hansen's opinion which you can read here: http://article.nationalreview....
Because the Democratic leadership and the media whores chose a smooth talking pol who promised change over a real fighter, Democratic voters will get nothing in November except for 4-8 more years of the same old politics.

When Obama loses in November it will not only be because of his race baiting tactics, lies, and flip flops. Lifelong Democrats will also be voting against the establishment who didn't have the courage to make the right decision even when it was staring them in the face for two whole months before the convention. I for one will no longer tolerate it, especially from my own party.

BotoxicPelosi :: The DNC Chose the Messiah Over the Fighter and the Voters Will Get Neither in November
Dirty, race baiting, misogynistic pols must be purged from the Democratic Party. Dean, Brazile, Pelosi must leave the Democratic Party.

The first to go will be Donna Brazile.

If you agree that Donna Brazile has been the most destructive Democrat this year and should not be further rewarded with the privilege of voting at the convention in Denver, Riverdaughter and PUMA have set up an action alert to demand a hearing to strip Brazile's superdelegate status.

Here is what you can do:
1) Write a certified & return receipt requested letter to the DNC demanding a meeting of the Rules and Bylaws Committee (RBC) to strip Donna Brazile of her superdelegate status.

2) Have the letter notarized.

3) Mail to this address:

Democratic Nat'l Committee
Credentials Committee
Attn: Alexis Herman
430 S. Capitol St. SE
2nd Floor
Washington, DC 20003

Sample Letter:

Dear Ms. Herman,

I am writing to demand a meeting of the Rules and Bylaws Committee of   the Democratic National Committee to consider the Super Delegate   status of Donna Brazile. Early in the primary campaign, Ms. Brazile   stated that she would resign as a member of the DNC if the Super   Delegates decided the outcome of this election. By making such a   provocative and divisive statement, in direct contradiction of the   stated role of Super Delegates, calls into serious question Ms.   Brazile's commitment to our Party and to the democratic process.

Because of her threatening, biased, and divisive actions throughout   this campaign season, Ms. Brazile does NOT deserve the status of Super   Delegate to our Convention. She promised on national television she   would resign if events during the primaries and caucuses led to a   selection of our nominee by Super Delegates. This turn of events has   indeed come to pass, and Ms. Brazile should be held to her word. She   proclaims loudly and often that she is a person of honor and   integrity. Now is her opportunity to show by her actions, for once,   that this is true.

Sincerely,

Democratic Party member

Brazile and Dean too (0.00 / 0)

I hope the DNC continues to get requests for Brzazile's resignation--and Howard Dean should go now too -- can't finish rest of his term.  I bet there's been a record-breaking number of demands for the DNC to fire these two.  Anyway to get that number? Someone must be keeping count.

Thanks, Botoxic (0.00 / 0)
The Donna Brazile letter is my action item for tomorrow. It's time for a purge!

Alice left me in Wonderland.

Fire Dean and Brazile, and vote out Pelosi! (0.00 / 0)
None of these three represent me or my interests, and I'm convinced they overruled the much more savvy and politically astute Harry Reid (a pragmatist).  I do not approve of any of them and believe they should have to work for a living like anyone else -- maybe doing something really difficult, like manual labor (providing they are able to do that -- it's harder than it looks), would get them back to Earth in a big hurry.

Dean and Brazile must go.  Now.

Good diary, Botoxic.

There's no excuse for this, DNC.  None.
