ACTION: Ask Pollsters to Include Hillary

by: Alegre

Mon Aug 11, 2008 at 23:46:08 PM EDT

This is something a lot of other blogs are asking you to do and we've mentioned it before, so you already know why it's important.  I just got the following reminder from Ricki Lieberman in tonight's Electability Watch blast-out.  Check it out...

POLLING FOR HILLARY: Scott Rasmussen was quoted as saying that he is receiving lots of inquiries about adding Hillary's name to the polling match ups.

Please continue to call or email and insist that major polls include HRC in polling data for President, now!

We're making a difference so keep on sending out those emails and make some more calls.

Just do it - do it now.  Contact them with an email before you log off tonight and then follow up with a phone call in the morning.

Or as Ricki would say...

GO!
GO!
GO!

They know the arguments - they just need to hear from you.  Here's what I just sent...

Good evening:

I'm writing to respectfully ask that you include Hillary Clinton in your next poll regarding the presidential race.  With Sen. Obama's numbers slipping in match-ups against Sen. McCain and the Democratic nominee yet to be determined, our delegates need as much information as possible if they're going to make an informed decision at our upcoming convention.

Thank you for your time and consideration,

Alegre, just yet another way to raise the media awareness. I had n't realized till you pointed out, just how powerful it could be to be simply included in a poll. Great idea indeed.  PS: thanks also for posting the Ickes video.

Still Hearting Hillary, In Slo-Mo toward McCain

Just sent an email (0.00 / 0)
to all three pollsters you listed. Here was my message:

To Whom It May Concern,

Please include Hillary Clinton in your tracking polls. Despite pro-Obama media spin, a big rift does exist within the Democratic Party. There are many Democrats who supported other candidates (not just Hillary Clinton) who WILL NOT support Obama. Democrats are judging Obama on the content of his character, not the color of his skin and are finding him lacking.

Also, please include questions about Obama's character. If you do not, and only focus on race, you are not accurately reflecting the mood of the electorate.

Consider questions like this:
Do you support African American candidates? Yes/No
Do you support Barack Obama? Yes/No
Do you trust Barack Obama? Yes/No
Do you think Barack Obama has enough experience to be President? Yes/No
Are you concerned about Barack Obama's past associations? Yes/No
Do you think Barack Obama has good judgement? Yes/No
If Barack Obama is the Democratic Party nominee, how will you vote?
a. for Obama b. for McCain c. for a third party candidate d. Write in candidate name e. only vote down ticket f. stay home

Thank you,
X

Excellent letter, Grlpatriot. (Alegre's was fine, too.) (0.00 / 0)
Really good way to contact 'em, and I'm e-mailing 'em (again) right now.

Let's hope they listen to me this time.

There's no excuse for this, DNC.  None.
