When I read about this new to me Ideology,"Enlightened authoritarianism"   everything I saw happening in this most bizarre democratic Primary began to make sense. I know how the article made me feel. Please read and decide how it makes you feel.

A snip is below, but one should read the complete article to really GET what is happening by the other half of the Obamanation Democrats.

roseeriter :: "Enlightened authoritarianism" Ideology- My BINGO Moment!
The enlightened authoritarianism conception is likewise untenable because it distorts the very essence of the problem. Those who support it should always remember that only one step separates enlightened authoritarianism from unenlightened and will lead to a personality cult. The conclusion suggests itself that leaders should be elected and rotated-this is one of the basic principles of democracy. It is not merely a political and juridical principle-it is a moral and ethical principle that should not be patterned to fit short-term considerations.

Even if we admit that one leader or another is indeed a highly enlightened person, the enlightened authoritarianism conception is absolutely useless even as a transition model. It detracts too far from democratic constructionism and completely relies on purely subjective factors rather than on objective laws of social development.

We should always bear in mind that the search for the best possible democratic model, which has been going on throughout the entire history of democracy, never went far from the basic idea-self-reproduction of democracy as a SYSTEM that least of all depends on subjective factors. The founding fathers of the democratic SYSTEMS have always warned against the "tyranny of the majority" (to borrow a Western term), that is, the tyranny of democracy. If democracy is fraught with tyranny, we should be apprehensive of an enlightened authoritarian ruler.

My question with all of this is:
Where does the Control of everything by the big Corporations play in the ""Enlightened authoritarianism"  Ideology? Do the New Democrats of Obamination think this is the only way to get around corporate control? And if so how?

If I could get an answer about that, that would explain why the so called progressives have jumped on the band wagon of the MOST inexperienced candidate for POTUS that I have ever seen.

obama's followers remind me of putin's. (0.00 / 0)
when putin came to power followign yeltsin, he attracted a lot of young followers whose memory didn't go back to the good old days of stalin. to the young, the more authoritarianism, the better. it saves time arguing - and thinking. obama is only capable of dealing with blind obedience. he doesn't like critics.

Barack Obama's election proves that any male can grow up to be president, provided he's willing to use misogyny as a campaign strategy.

He's always had young followers (0.00 / 0)
His campaign volunteers, in his own words, are not old enough to drink yet. He had them at U of Chicago. And at book signings they would flock to him and he would light up. One book reviewer on Amazon said she was older and when Obama signed his book, he dropped his smile, then lit up again when the next youngin approached him with a book to sign.

And that plays in to Obama's friend Bill Ayers teachings (0.00 / 0)
and beliefs and some other guy Saul Lensky? (can't recall his last name and I know Hillary read about this guy when she was in college but discarded his ideas)

It also makes sense of the predominate anarchists KIDS over at kos for the past year or so, many from overseas.

I pulled out some snippets that caught my eye:

No Drama.

As you have probably heard by now numerous times, the "no drama" edict is the one handed down from the top of the Obama campaign that permeates every facet of that organization.  Every person hired to the Obama campaign gets the "no drama" speech when they are hired.  We don't do drama here. Sorry. Tight ship and all that.

Well, from what I can see, the drama doesn't help.  And I'm taking the Obama no drama pledge from here on out.

So, I'm adopting the Obama no drama policy.  We will forge ahead with a clear vision and purpose in this campaign, and turn out every vote we can.  At that point, we will win.

If we do that, the only drama we will get to enjoy is the Obama victory speech come November 4th.  And THAT drama couldn't get a better script from Hollywood.

Cultish Koolaid Proof!
