ACTION: TIME TO TURN UP THE VOLUME!

by: Alegre

Sat Aug 16, 2008 at 14:34:22 PM EDT

I posted contact information for the top three polling firms a week ago, and urged everyone to contact them and ask that they include Hillary in their polling samples.  I reminded them that we don't have a nominee, so our delegates need to see the head-to-head match-ups against McCain to get a true sense as to who the stronger Democrat is for the general election.

Well it appears that Rasmussen doesn't get what we're asking gang, because I just got this lame-brained reply from them.  Check it out...

Thank you for taking the time to write.  We continue to poll on Hillary Clinton whenever she is in the news.  Most recently, we have polled on the fact that she will be formally nominated:

http://www.rasmussenreports.co...

ARGH!  Are they really that dense?  I mean they seem to be a lot smarter than this so I have to guess they're really not interested in getting at the truth and putting it out there.  Now that Hillary's in this fight for real, and they'll be holding an honest roll call vote that includes both candidates, the pollsters have GOT to include Hillary in the questions and the data.  Otherwise, it's nothing more than a fairy tale.

This is a call to ACTION you guys - make the jump for contact info for Rasmussen, Quinnipiac, and Gallup.

Alegre :: ACTION: TIME TO TURN UP THE VOLUME!
POLLING FOR HILLARY: Scott Rasmussen was quoted as saying that he is receiving lots of inquiries about adding Hillary's name to the polling match ups.

Please continue to call or email and insist that major polls include HRC in polling data for President, now!

Send emails all weekend and then as soon as you're up and awake on Monday, start bugging the be-jeepbers out of those pollsters.

HIT THE PHONES!!!!

Then pass the link on to this post to everyone you freakin' know.  Or just send them the contact info for these chicken-sh#t pollsters.  It's time they heard from us non-stop until they include Hillary.

But I'm finding on a certain level this sexist division is being portrayed as "the good old days."

it's so alive and well, what's different is that some of us think it's over. I got the first season, don't have tv stations, so I can't see the new season.  We are more sophisticated.

I remember those times, I was 12 when Kennedy was elected, or almost twelve, and my dad was a professional, worked for a large corporation, and my parents had those cocktail parties and the creepy guys would try to grope me and my sister.  The beginning of the sixties was no different than the fifties.  Didn't even know there was a whole world of color out there, that saw right through it. No one told me, I had to figure it out.  They were innocent times, sort of, when white guys could make a fortune selling their souls.  Thank dog for the rolling stones.

And the food, white bread, those restaurant scenes are painful, even sound like they used to sound, the tomato juice cocktail before dinner, i was waiting for the veal parmesan and the iceburg lettuce salad with canned peas and thousand island.  And the 'a woman alone' phrase, that threw fear into married ladies' hearts. Now that some of us can make a reasonable living and aren't considered whores for being divorced, that's a good change. I had a little friend when I was ten, and her mother was divorced and cleaned houses for a dollar an hour, and the other mothers talked about her, with pity and with fear. She exhausted herself, and she had grown bitter.  it was the isolation and the prejudice and the way 'women's work' paid too little.  House cleaners make a living wage now.

And our diversity, the multi-culture part of now that was not then at all.  And the way they would talk, racist, sexist, out loud, it was socially acceptable, and so mean-spirited and ugly. As a kid I heard it that way, I think lots of us did.

times have changed, but not enough.

this show works against us.  I think there are many people who say, "Look, see, it's better now.  If that's sexism, well, we don't have that any more, so what are those angry feminists talking about?  Women have it all now, and they're still bitching."  IMO.

they'd say it anyway (0.00 / 0)
and since it is better, we have more power to punish them. They'd better watch out, this HIllary reaction is just a taste of what's to come. This world needs some humanity injected back, it's not all about profit and power grabbing.   A lot of women have become activist around HIllary's 'handicap,' and we're not about to shut up. The blog world used to be mainly men, but it's woken us up, and I don't think many of us will go back to sleep.  Guys fuck things up, and they get enabled by women in denial who think they're special, not like the rest of us mere women.  But there are plenty of girls who like girls and see the big picture, quite a few right here.

Welcome girls and feminist guys.  put your thoughts out right here, at Al's place.

Clark has been told "there's no reason... (0.00 / 0)
for him to come to Denver".  (See Steve Clemons article - also No Quarter.)

F*&K YOU, OBAMA.

I concur, CoyoteCreek. (0.00 / 0)
Or as the Rush Limbaugh listeners say, "Ditto."  Or even, "Mega-dittoes."  (I know this because I read Al Franken's book, "Rush Limbaugh is a Big, Fat Idiot and Other Observations.")

Seriously, this is yet another pointless and stupid move by Barack Obama that shows how low his political I.Q. is -- and how arrogant and entitled he feels.  To blow off a highly decorated four-star General for any reason is wrong; for this reason is totally unacceptable!

There's no excuse for this, DNC.  None.

Expecially when you have zero... (0.00 / 0)
credibility in terms of national security and the military.

Obama is just plain stupid.

will not be given a speaking slot.  Hope he and Clark are mightily pissed.  That BHO sure is a guy you can believe in.

Wes is short. He'll fit under the bus. (0.00 / 0)
hell, he's already under the bus - obama slid out on him when he said getting shot down by the north vietnamese didn't actually qualify as executive experience. and he was right. pilots don't supervise anyone.

Barack Obama's election proves that any male can grow up to be president, provided he's willing to use misogyny as a campaign strategy.
