BREAKING: Explosive New Film Re Caucus Fraud!

by: Alegre

Fri Aug 22, 2008 at 13:44:58 PM EDT

Well we've all been hearing a great deal about Gigi Gaston's documentary about the rampant fraud and illegalities surrounding the caucuses in this election.  Gigi Gaston, filmmaker extraordinaire is putting together a feature-length documentary about the sorry state of this election, and it's expected to be released early next year.

But we have a fairly lengthy teaser that's just hit the Net, and some of the stuff in this video is absolutely jaw-dropping.  To think that this kind of fraud could happen in our country now - in the 21st century is just incredible.  More than that - all this was perpetrated by someone vowing to change how things are done in DC.  Well if that's the kind of change he wants to bring about...

They don't have this up on YouTube yet so you'll have to follow the link.  We'll embed it once it's up on YouTube.

VIEW VIDEO HERE!

I just got an email from John Siegel, the executive producer of this film - take a look at what he has to say...

The information in the film is especially jarring for those who were not in caucus states, but it is information that our party must face. There is a reason why half of all Hillary voters are not currently willing to vote for Obama, and this is a big part of it.

As I told my friend Rep. Lois Capps, whose son in law is Obama's National Communications Director, it would be unfair and unethical to delegates, both pledged and super, to withhold this otherwise untold story prior to their floor votes in Denver. This is, oddly, also an opportunity for unity; if the Obama campaign stated that they played rough in a caucus system that should be abolished, it would heal a lot of wounds.

We will have copies of the DVD with us if you need one in Denver.

How DARE The DNC Keep This From Us? (4.00 / 11)
They'd been asked repeatedly to investigate this stuff.  It took citizens like us to do the legwork and collect the evidence.

For them to ignore this now is just criminal and they'd be aiding and abetting the thugs who perpetrated this by blocking efforts to fix our paryt's broken electoral system.

I watched the whole video- To think that so many of us (4.00 / 7)
thought the Democratic party was the good guys and allowed at least half of the party to condone this amount of fraud is beyond upsetting.

I cannot support such crap regardless if its Repug or Dem.

Its doubtful that Hillary will rise above the trap the Obama DNC has already set. I wish she would denounce this fraud and either go Independent or tell us that their will be consequences to the phony dems who supported voter intimidation and fraud.

Winning at all costs is not a win. Cheaters are cheaters.
So disappointed and feel like a political idiot. Well I'm off the idealism immaturity now.

Bush supporters meet Obama supporters- cut from the same cloth. Shameful!

[ Parent ]
the problem with cheating (4.00 / 7)
other than the obvious ones (makes you look like a criminal, no one will trust you ever again), it that he has the primary without real votes to count on in November.  You can game a caucus, but not a general election. So, that gives us the candidate who didn't win to run against a pug who did win his.

It's obviously true, some bullies and angry young people managed to cheat three ways, -to scare old people away, to change some votes in the caucus, and then to add more bussed in bodies.  And I guess to cover their tracks by throwing way some of Hillary's sign in sheets.

And the hack Dean thought it was cool enough, just let it go, boys will be boys.

It's beyond credible that Barack didn't know. He may have thought everyone doe it, and so he had to too, to keep up with the others, some cheaters use that excuse.

This is so sucky.

A reputation takes a lifetime to build up and one nefarious act to break.

exactly true. (4.00 / 7)
the party which allows its candidate selection process to be gamed is the one that will lose in november.

Barack Obama's election proves that any male can grow up to be president, provided he's willing to use misogyny as a campaign strategy.

I agree (4.00 / 7)
this is shameful! Every real Democrat (and patriot) must be outraged by this. No more "yeah, but we've got to support the nominee no matter" -- bullsh!t. This documentary coupled with Dr. Lynnette Long's Caucus Analysis proves this strategy came from the top down. This is part of the Obama brand.

Long had this to say recently:

Approximately a year ago thousands of committed volunteers attended "Camp Obama," a four-day indoctrination program, geared at teaching pre-screened Obama volunteers grass roots organizational strategies. The training, which specifically focused on the caucus states, taught volunteers to be "ruthless," "take risks," and win at all costs. Obama's campaign and Camp Obama's strategy which focused on the vulnerable caucuses and the early primaries worked. Obama only lost 1 out of 14 caucuses, a staggering achievement, especially when he lost 21 out of 38 primaries and scored a statistical tie in popular vote. How did he accomplish such an astonishing string of victories that would eventually define the Democratic Primary?

Same here (4.00 / 3)
It requires a username and password.

Regarding the video: he is right. Every delegate and superdelegate needs to see this! I've been reading about the caucus fraud for a couple of months and it is one of the top reasons I'll never vote for Obama. I would imagine that actually seeing it would take that resolve to an even higher level.

hold on, folks. (4.00 / 2)

the sad part is... (4.00 / 4)
...that caucus fraud and primary skullduggery are in a legal no-man's-land. we got nowhere in court here in FL with the national party's disenfranchisement of FL voters. they just threw the cases out. party primaries are like the internal meetings of any other private organization, according to the courts.

it's left up to the party to police, which means that dean, pelosi and brazilla are tapping around with their white canes, looking for evidence of wrongdoing.  the rank and file democrats know what's going on, though.

Barack Obama's election proves that any male can grow up to be president, provided he's willing to use misogyny as a campaign strategy.

and that's why some (4.00 / 5)
will choose to punish the party by not voting and not contributing, or by changing parties.  This goes down like this, then democrats need to get together and start a new party. We can call them the Corrupt and Highly Stupid so-called Democrat Party, and we'll be the Democratic Workers and Women Party.

90-year-old women being denied caucus in Iowa (4.00 / 7)
Skip to around the 30 minute mark. The person checking people in pretended not to find her name in the book, until her young driver said "I am from Chicago" and demanded to look at the book to find her name. Miraculously, they found it. Then his partner brought in another older late-80s woman, and the clerk pretended not to find her name in the book.

This is so shocking and disturbing and wrong.

This makes three stolen presidential elections in a row - that we know of; maybe they've all been. We don't have democracy. I don't have a party. No matter who wins, I will spend another 4 years feeling sick when I see or hear my President.

The party knew about this & did not vote to end caucuses. They are completely complicit.

Hillary knew about this. She knew it was why she "lost". How does she manage to go on with her political life?

This film has to be seen by as many people as possible.

Unions Getting Nervous About Obama... (4.00 / 6)
The documentary is a huge story, if you ask me. I've posted it around and sent it out in emails to help it move along. Glad there's a trailer to give people an indication of what happened. It's why I get so annoyed with pundits who don't get PUMA at all, who think it's just a small thing, just a few senior women, who can't "just get over it."

It's about the Democratic Party; it's about the FRAUD in the Democratic Party primary. It's about the voting rights of Democrats, ferchrisesakes.

But, just came across this story, too. Next under the ObamaBus? UNIONS.

UNIONS CONCERNED OVER OBAMA WALL STREET POLITICS

Bloomberg - AFL-CIO Secretary-Treasurer Richard Trumka delivers a slap at former Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin in a slide show exhorting union members to back Democrat Barack Obama for president. Blaming unfettered global trade and inadequate government regulation for lost manufacturing jobs and a staggering economy, Trumka's presentation cautions that "it will do us little good if, when the next Democrat moves into the White House, Wall Street takes command of our country's economic policy.''

Trumka leaves no doubt that the rebuke is aimed at Rubin, Wall Street's most prominent Democrat. It's "hard to tell the difference'' between Rubin and Republican Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, the presentation says. Trumka's critique reflects the concern among organized-labor officials that Rubin and like-minded Democrats may win the behind-the-scenes battle to shape Obama's economic thinking.

"I'm hearing Rubin's name more and more associated with the campaign's economic policy,'' says James Torrey, a top Obama fundraiser and chief executive officer of New York-based Torrey Associates, a hedge-fund investor.

Rubin, who became chairman of Citigroup's executive committee after leaving President Bill Clinton's Cabinet, represents policy priorities that would favor free trade and more emphasis on deficit-cutting budget discipline if Obama beats Republican John McCain on Nov. 4. Meanwhile, Trumka and his boss, AFL-CIO President John Sweeney, are pushing trade policies that would protect U.S. industries, universal health care, and spending on highway construction and other projects that would create union jobs. . .

The Wall Street contingent's clout has grown within the Obama camp in the two months since Rubin's first-choice candidate, New York Senator Hillary Clinton, conceded the nomination. A Rubin protege, Jason Furman, is now the economic-policy director of Obama's campaign. . .

At an economic forum last month, Sweeney, former Labor Secretary Robert Reich, and union advocates were outnumbered by the likes of Lawrence Summers, Rubin's successor as Treasury secretary; JPMorgan Chase & Co. CEO Jamie Dimon; former Republican Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill; and former Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman William Donaldson, like O'Neill an appointee of President George W. Bush.

"Senator Obama made it clear that he would be reaching out to members of that group in the future,'' says another participant, Laura Tyson, who worked with Rubin as the head of the White House Council of Economic Advisers.

Labor's apprehensions surfaced after the June 9 appointment of Furman, a Brookings Institution scholar and former Clinton White House aide. One reason: In 2005, Furman published a paper saying Wal-Mart Stores Inc. creates productivity gains and consumer savings that outweigh the low wages it pays workers. . .

Even so, some union leaders are already girding to fight for influence in any future Obama administration. If the Rubin camp were to win out, it would boost the odds that an Obama presidency might sidestep significant trade restrictions and sacrifice spending programs for the sake of deficit reduction.

"I worry about his influence,'' says Leo Gerard, president of the United Steelworkers.

Trumka, 59, says the AFL-CIO began months ago to look for candidates for Cabinet posts, including the Treasury and Energy Departments, as well as the Federal Reserve.

"This will not be business as usual for us,'' Trumka says in an interview. "They're not going to be able to pat us on the head and say, we'll let you give us three names for the secretary of labor, and think that we'll be happy.''

Obama, 47, can't afford to alienate organized labor. Union households account for almost one in four U.S. voters, and labor is crucial to turning out the vote. The 10.5 million-member AFL- CIO, the nation's largest labor organization, plans to use 250,000 volunteers to contact 13 million voters in 24 states; the Steelworkers plan to deploy 250 paid election workers across 27 states.

One of Obama's biggest challenges, in fact, may be winning a significant share of rank-and-file union voters, who backed Clinton by large margins in Ohio and other industrial swing states. . .

At an Aug. 5 town hall meeting in Berea, Ohio, Obama touted the benefits of a strong dollar, a cause Rubin championed at the Treasury. "A strengthening of the dollar'' would mitigate rising gasoline prices, he said.

The statement appalled economists aligned with unions, which fear that a stronger dollar would make imported goods cheaper and hurt export sales. "The strong-dollar policy is very harmful,'' says Dean Baker, co-director of the Center for Economic and Policy Research in Washington. "There's some real fundamental differences between the Rubinites and the labor people, and I don't know how you get them on the same page.''

The unions didn't do their homework (4.00 / 2)
before they backed Obama. Whatever made them jump on the bandwagon? I never understood.

Many unions backed Edwards, then Clinton, first. (4.00 / 1)
Or Edwards or Clinton first.  Most unions only reluctantly supported Obama -- and they remain unhappy with him now.  (Because the unions aren't all comprised of fools.)

When even the union leadership can't get the DNC to change course -- man, oh man!  I don't know how to express my disgust.

I've done everything I can to affect the outcome of election in a positive manner.  I continue to support Hillary Clinton and always will; I will never, never, never support Obama, and I also will never, never, never support any member of the DNC who allowed this to go on and said nothing.  (There were some good DNC members.  Not enough.  But I know people like Mona Pasquil and Tina Flournoy -- not to mention Howard Ickes -- were on our side with this.  They don't deserve to be condemned with the likes of "Coward" Dean and Donna Brazile.)
