Debra Dumps Obama

by: Lt. Ripley

Mon Aug 25, 2008 at 09:19:08 AM EDT

(disclaimer: we are NOT republicans, despite obama's best efforts to drive us out of the party. he DID drive debra out of the party. i'm not going to vote for mccain, but i can't blame debra for doing so.

- promoted by campskunk)

We all remember Debra Bartoshevich, the delegate from Wisconsin who was unfairly stripped of her delegate status by the Wisconsin democratic party last month (LSekhmet's diary has details.)  Now Debra is openly supporting John McCain and is appearing in a new ad entitled "Debra" as a Hillary supporter. This is what happens folks when the DNC holds a sham primary, turns a blind eye to Obama's caucus fraud, and allows the Obama campaign's strong arm tactics.  Behold, this is how Obama has brought "unity" to our party.

Holy O! (0.00 / 0)
Team Obama may have tried to shut Debra up in WI, but she is beyond their reach now. The hemorrhaging continues in a very public way. Good for her! McCain is obviously smarter than Obama when it comes to courting Hillary supporters. The party must understand that we aren't kidding about dumping Obama. They are playing chicken with the wrong chics.

The most divisive candidate ever (0.00 / 0)
That is the One.  Seems to me that he is everything they accused Hillary of.

The One (0.00 / 0)
Was supposed to unite the masses.  Unfortunately, there was no substance behind his leg-tingling "charisma," and real, core  democrats saw through the charade and are refusing to back an inexperienced media darling.  I am holding on to hopes that the "light will shine down" and the delegate gods will nominate Hillary.

He has united us -- against him. (0.00 / 0)
Never seen Republicans and dyed-in-the-wool Dems in so much agreement, Lt. Ripley.

Stop the drama, DUMP OBAMA!!! (As I say quite often.)

There's no excuse for this, DNC.  None.

This should be no surprise to the great minds (0.00 / 0)
at the DNC.

If you treat people like dirt, they walk away.

And I should have added that (0.00 / 0)
they walk away and then turn around and punch you in the chops.

this looks like Bush's Iran policy (0.00 / 0)
be as offensive as possible, and then depend on the mullah's to not ''provoke' some attack.

They expect us all to take the insults and to get behind the candidate anyway, cause he's the only game in town and we're stupid if we don't vote for him.  He's making it as hard as possible.

I'm not against politicking, just stupid politicking.

Or . . . (0.00 / 0)
. . . the nether parts.  (If we're feeling very mean and nasty.  Otherwise we'll just fantasize about doing so to the various bad apples in the DNC who have screwed us royally. ;-))

hey, they're the ones who ran her out of the party. (0.00 / 0)
what did they think she was going to do? the obama people are their own worst enemies.

Barack Obama's election proves that any male can grow up to be president, provided he's willing to use misogyny as a campaign strategy.

When you tell voters "we don't need you" they listen! (0.00 / 0)
Surely this could have been handled better.

or when you tell them (0.00 / 0)
"I am confident I will get her votes if I'm the nominee," Obama stressed. "It's not clear she would get the votes I got if she were the nominee."

Barry said that back in February. How do you think he is doing so far? Yes, Barry your over confidence has you in a bit of a bind. Barry meet egg on face, you little twerp.

You go, girl. :D

yep. obama's mouth was writing checks his polls can't cash. (0.00 / 0)
one poll last week had 52% of hillary supporters saying they'd vote for obama, 21% for mccain, and 27% saying they weren't going to vote for either. others show it's more like 30% not supporting obama. but hey, if obama says he's not worried, why should we worry? i'm not the one who's gonna look like a chump on nov. 5.

His candidacy is costing the party big time, in dollars and (good) sense.

Obama/Biden '08 -- a losing ticket we can believe in?

I'm for that.

Another great catch, Lt Ripley. I am quickly coming to the point of checking for your name first on the diary list. I've posted this info on my blog, with credit given to you.

You did great, Lt. Ripley. (0.00 / 0)
And thanks for mentioning my earlier blog(s) about Debra Bartoshevich.  (The last one I did references the earlier one, so it's all good.)  The Obama people were wrong to drive her out.

Now they are reaping the whirlwind, and I can't feel one bit sorry for them.

Wonderful diary.  Recommended.

Debra is right (0.00 / 0)
I know a lot of PUMA's have not made the switch to McCain yet like Debra has or like I have.  But if our party fails to hear our voices,  I encourage you to think about which candidate has more leadership and experience,  McCain or Obama?   Which candidate has a history of unifying both Republicans and Democrats, McCain or Obama?  Which candidate will actually bring tangible changes to improve the economy, McCain or Obama?  For me the choice is clear: McCain.

I never dreamt, when this all started in January 2007,  that I would end up supporting a Republican.  It never even entered my wildest imagination.  But the Democratic Party has shown blatant hostility to women and to the concept of voter enfranchisement that I no longer have any use for them, and I have switched parties.

PUMA's rock.  Lets keep the fight going strong!
